For the record, I really did like you.

A lot more than you’ll ever know.

It’s the same old story you’re eighteen, fresh out of high school and you have no idea what you want out of life. You’re preparing for huge changes and you’re scared of it. You don’t know who you are, where you’re going, or what’s in store for you. Then you meet someone. Not just anyone though, someone who changes your life. This person calms the confusion, gives you hope, and reminds you that even the worst situations have some good in them. You realize that this is the type of person you aspire to be, and aspire to be with. You can’t help but smile when they do, feel sad when they shed a tear, or feel anger when they’ve been hurt. You really care for them and put their happiness before your own. However, you realize it’s not fair to them or to you. Making someone a priority is a dangerous thing, you put them above else and you depend on them. So it’s time to end this chapter. I’m not saying not goodbye, I’m simply saying thank you for the lesson and you’ll always be in my heart.
